When the Journey is Too Important
to Attempt Alone.
When The Climb
Isn't Enough

How it Works
PHASE 1: BASE CAMP (weeks 1–4)
We measure everything that matters before anyone moves. The full ATLAS-ESI™ behavioral diagnostic across your leadership team and key people, readiness mapped, gaps ranked. Deep business intake: operations, the initiative landscape, what's stalled before and why. We end Base Camp with something most organizations never have: an honest, measured picture of what this business can actually carry.
PHASE 2: THE ROUTE (weeks 4–8)
Together with your leadership team, we build the integrated plan, the DELIVER Operating System (DELIVER OS™) applied to your real business. A defined destination your whole team can describe. A sequence matched to your measured readiness, not to enthusiasm. Owners, milestones, and the execution frameworks (decisions, priorities, leadership follow-through) installed where they'll be used. This phase is typically on-site: the route gets built in your building, with your people.
PHASE 3: THE ASCENT (the core months)
We execute. I'm the transformational leader alongside you: a standing weekly working session, monthly on-site or strategic deep-dives as scoped, direct access for you and a named point of contact on your team, and the readiness data re-measured as we go, so course corrections are made on evidence, not anxiety. Your team does the work; I make sure the work survives contact with day-to-day business.
PHASE 4: THE SUMMIT (final month)
The handoff, done deliberately. The initiative finished and delivering. The system: prioritization, decision-making, leadership cadence, running in your business without me pushing it. A final readiness re-measure to show, in numbers, what changed. And an honest closing review: what's durable, what to watch, and what your team can now do that it couldn't before. The goal of every Expedition is to make your team fully capable and myself unnecessary.
What Makes it Different
Dedicated, not shared.
Measured throughout.
On-site when it matters.
Capacity-capped by design.
WHO IT'S FOR / NOT FOR
- For: Founders, and leadership teams of established businesses (typically $2M–$10M+, 20–100+ people) facing a change initiative with real stakes; an operational overhaul, an AI-driven reinvention, a scaling wall, a next-chapter reshaping, who want dedicated leadership through it, not a course about it.
- Not for: Businesses that haven't yet decided to change (start with the Base Camp or a discovery Call), owners looking for a silver-bullet consultant to do it to their team rather than with them, or situations where The Climb honestly fits, in which case I'll tell you that on the call and you'll save a great deal of money.
ABOUT ME
I'm Mark R Cooley. I spent 25 years leading transformations, global enterprise IT portfolios, strategy work with Bluetooth, Microsoft, and the Gates Foundation, before building Future State Found to bring that system to businesses that will never hire a big consultancy. I developed the ATLAS-ESI™ diagnostic, wrote the book on the method (Future State Found, out October 20), and I run my own company on the same system, deliberately AI-native, so my time goes where it matters: this work. The Expedition is the closest thing I offer to how I actually spent those twenty-five years: in the room, on the mountain, with the team.
