Why "Found"?

A future state is the destination, the version of the business or team that meaningful change is meant to create. Too often, founders spend years searching for it through more strategy, more tools, more consultants, or another restart, only to find themselves carrying the same problems forward.

Future State Found exists to help founders and their teams do more than search for a better future. We help them build the awareness, alignment, and execution capability to reach it in a way that is practical, measurable, and repeatable. So that progress is not temporary, and success does not depend on starting over every time.

Meet the Founder

Nearly Three Decades. Nearly Every Scenario.

Over nearly 30 years, Mark R Cooley has led large-scale transformation work across major institutions, high-stakes operating environments, and multiple industries. His background spans leadership roles as a founder, executive, professor, consultant, and transformation architect, including work with organizations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Bluetooth SIG, Microsoft, and Seagen. 

Across those environments, one lesson kept repeating: transformation failure is rarely a strategy problem alone. More often, it is a people-and-execution problem, misaligned stakeholders, weak ownership, decision paralysis, competing priorities, and teams asked to deliver change without a system that actually helps them do it.

That is why Mark built Future State Found. The DELIVER OS™ and ATLAS-ESI™ diagnostic were created to help founders and teams understand how they work, align around meaningful challenges, and move forward with a more practical and repeatable way to execute change.

The Book

My first book, Future State Found, publishes October 20, 2026. Part memoir, part methodology. It is the story of what nearly three decades on the front lines of organizational transformation taught him, and the complete framework he built from it. Available wherever books are sold.
